Interesting, Google has a 63% share of the search market. Microsoft has a 90% share of the computer operating system market and 90% share of the "office productivity" suite market; and the profit margin for those products is 80-90%! Yet somehow we're supposed to believe that Google, which gives away its search results, and other useful things like Picasa and Google Earth, is an evil monopolist, at the same time that we should believe that Microsoft is an angel that's all sweetness and light. Color me skeptical.

Microsoft hates Google, and Google hates Microsoft.

Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo search advertising business so they can try and compete with Google.

Google could care less about Yahoo’s search advertising business, that market share is all going to be Googles in the next 2 years no matter how owns Yahoo.

Yahoo’s executives are keeping quiet because they don’t want to have to explain how they need this deal in order to keep from getting slaughtered by mobs of angry shareholders upset over the way they ran the company into the ground and screwed up the sale to Microsoft.

Google's out talking about the deal, because they kept Microsoft from getting what they wanted, and are trying to keep them from getting it in the future.

This isn’t complicated; just think of it as two kids fighting over a toy.
