The second Satellite radio license should go up for sale. A company like Microsoft or Apple or Verizon should be able to purchase that license and create a company to compete, if they want. There is no competing company that offers News, Music, and Personality driven Talk Radio, in a portable package like Satellite radio. I want another option.

Satellite broadcasting is not a necessity, if they increase the rate people will stop subscribing. The competion will be over the air HD programming... the government needs to get out of the control business and let competion flourish.

Thank you for this publication. In my view XM and Sirius are doing a great job by giving the U.S. Treasury almost $20 millions. I am respecting it a lot.

It turn, Democrat/Socialist Adelstein should have agreed to a 6-year, no raise, no pay increase of his own. 18 months for settlement is ridiculous. So much for free market capitalism in America today.

"In an effort to ease the concerns that the satellite duo would use its monopoly status to gouge consumers, the companies proposed new price plans like 50-channel and 100-channel a la carte offerings that would cost $13 and $15 a month"

It's funny they said the a la carte plans would start around 9 dollars when they first were trying to get their merger approved...funny how it has jumped up to current and higher than current prices...
