AT&T currently does not offer corporate discount rates on iPhone contracts. I won't buy one until the same discounts offered on other phones are applied to iPhones.

Still can't bring myself to pay $100+ a month for a phone bill. Phone might be great but not that great.

You can cut, drop, or give the iPhone away, but I would never own one. Used it, hated it and I simply can't see the reasoning behind everyone jumping on the Steve Job's love train, it will derail...

I've heard that the Samsung Instinct coming out soon will do many things better than the iPhone, so I plan to wait for that. I also think it will be cheaper.

I have an IPhone now and like it. My biggest problem with it is the lack of Flash support and ATTs use of Flash for its images sent via SMS, just does not make sense. I will probably go to a different phone when my term is up 3G or not.

Its about time AT&T subsidized the cost of the iPhone. Subsidized handsets are the only justification for the 2 year agreements and high monthly rates that post pay companies require.

I also hope they release the iPhones to 3rd party resellers. I work for a store that is both a AT&T and Ipod authorized retailer, yet unable to sell one of the most popular wireless handsets.

I think both companies need to work on their relationship with both their customers and business partners.

All rumors, and no facts to back any of it up. Great story though if true.

Wait a minute . . . isn't Scott Moritz the one who "broke" this phenomenal story in the first place?

Scott,
Isn't it a little misleading to write a follow-up that makes it sound as though the rumor you started is now fact? Sure, you provide a link to your original post, but comments like this one
"Sacconaghi is an Apple analyst but he says he has not confirmed the price cut plan with Apple or AT&T"
make it sound as though you're subtly washing your hands of any responsibility here. It's not your job to check the facts; leave that to the analysts, eh?

Sorry, this just wreaks of bad, cyclical "reporting." For your sake, I hope that rumor turns out to be right...
