The SPOT devices does not work &quot;Anywhere in the world.&quot;.  As a matter of fact.  It currently works in fewer places than it does work, including most of the examples the Author provided.. Mount Everest (Nope), Rounding the Horn (Nope), Anywhere in the South Atlantic (Nope) That&#039;s 3 for 3.
