Yeah...a lot of questions do linger. Like why the &quot;old hands&quot; over at FB completely misrepresented the fact that Beacon tracks users -regardless of it&#039;s profile display settings. But now, we&#039;re supposed to just &quot;trust&quot; that they&#039;re not doing *anything* with the data. Then why collect it? Why? Because it&#039;s damn valuable that&#039;s why.

Go ahead and continue to carry the water for them on this. They&#039;re actions are not noble or revolutionary. And people who value privacy are not overracting. We&#039;ve seen a breathtaking level of arrogance and hubris from this company and Josh had the courage to write about it.

Since he has also been such a big fan of the service in the past, his about face took a hell of a lot more courage than yours and Fortunes. I&#039;d much prefer Josh&#039;s &quot;sensationalism&quot; to this pseudo-journalistic corporate brown nosing.</description>
